Badaling Great Wall (in simplified Chinese八达岭万里长城) is the most outstanding representatives of Chinese Great Wall and it was the essence of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. Early in 1961 it was issued by the State Council as key national heritage conservation units of the country. In 1988, the Badaling Great Wall was approved by the United Nations as a world cultural heritage of mankind. In 1991, for the forty good Places of interest at the National Award, the Badaling was high on the list.
